SKYLINE AND AVC GROUP OPEN NEW PREMISES IN COATBRIDGE

Coatbridge based company Skyline, have formed a new exciting and innovative partnership with AVC Group to accommodate growth opportunities in the renewable energy market.

Managing Director Mr Robert Bell said: ‘In this new venture Skyline in partnership with AVC are now introducing solar energy sales, installation and advice to our existing business.  A new trade counter will be available covering all aspects of aerials, satellite and renewable energy products.

‘Skyline has joined in partnership with AVC Group and now shares the new premises in Coatbridge.  This will help consolidate our main business activities and help Skyline secure more jobs for local people.

‘We have now moved to new premises to incorporate our existing satellite and aerial section of our business that will continue the supply and installation of Sky aerial systems commercial and domestic throughout central Scotland.  We have also built a new training centre to train new employees and develop the skills of our existing engineers.  Our training facility will also be used by external companies seeking to train their employees in ladder training (working at heights), special heights also customer care’.

North Lanarkshire Regeneration Convener Councillor Tom Maginnis said: ‘Skyline has developed tremendously over the past year.  Their new purpose built premises have been completely revamped and are absolutely first class.  In fact their strategic approach of entering the renewable energy market is a very bold and courageous move and one which I hope will yield excellent dividends for Skyline.

‘I am also greatly impressed with their wider social responsibility and note that Skyline have teamed up with other partners to make the public aware of bogus callers within our area.  That demonstrates beyond all doubt Skyline’s commitment to our communities of Coatbridge which I warmly applaud’.

Elaine Smith MSP said: ‘I was delighted to be invited to attend the opening of the new Skyline offices. It is fantastic to see a local business continuing to grow and expand into other areas such as the installation of solar panels alongside the satellite installation part of their business and I hope that more people in Coatbridge will be employed as a result.  I wish Robert and Pauline every success with their business growth.’

Local MP Tom Clarke said: ‘Skyline’s partnership with AVC Group will enhance their competitive ability in an energy industry that is extremely difficult at this present time.   Such astute entrepreneurship shown by both Pauline and Robert Bell is taking Skyline to a completely new level of business activity.  Solar power gives families community organisations and businesses greater control over their energy bills and it will help Britain meet its renewable energy targets and reduce carbon emissions.  In the recent past the solar industry has grown dramatically.  I am sure that more job opportunities will be forthcoming here in Coatbridge with this new venture, and I am delighted that Skyline AVC Group is strategically well placed to achieve their share of a growing market’.
